I'm back from down south in Essex, they all talk funny down there. The journey was err harsh on the way down as it was foggy for the whole way. This meant we couldn't see 15ft in front of us, but hey; third lane all the way baby! Funny thing was in the first 20mins of being on the motorway we were almost in a pile up. Trucks... something to be aware off in fog. I've been in, and seen some, serious close calls on the motorways of this country but this truck came the width of your monitor away from the back of a van in the fog. The truck was in the THIRD lane, yeah anyone from the UK will know this is TOTALLY against the law but hey it was visibility = -2. Put it this way had that truck caught the back of the van it would have jacked and the van would defo of been in a spin. When you're coming up the third lane at some speed, in fog, this is not what you wanna see about 10ft in front of you. Between them they would have covered all lanes and you're looking at a serious crash given the state of the fog. With a big phew we zoomed on but all the way it was just full of muppets, well idiots that in fog don't realise you need further breaking space on the motorway. Anyway I'm glad I don't drive and all credit to my Mum she handled the drive really well considering how bad it was.
