New places and new job

Well I've spent most of the last week away down in Wokingham on some training for our shiny new CMS at work. The training wasn't the best but it's enough to get me started off of configuring the system for our end-users. The trip down there took nearly 5 hours which wasn't bad considering how bad the weather was. The hotel was nice, well I say nice, the only really good thing was the shower. It was powerful enough to make you think that you were getting a beating. Just what you need after a full English in the morning. The room were nice but no free Wi-Fi even in the public areas which was a bummer as the hotel was out near the motorway so not much going on.
We headed in to Reading on the final night and ate, or tried to eat, the biggest burger I have ever ordered. This THING was 16oz. One of the people who'd travelled down with us had nothing more to say than "You fat, fat bastard" as he saw the plate hit the table. I must admit I think I over ordered especially considering it came with chips and salad to. I had a mighty good stab at it though and managed to eat most of it. Reading wasn't cheap though, far from it.
With the last day over we headed back up North much to my relief to be honest.
I've finished my current job and last week they presented me with some t-shirts and a fancy CCCP laptop bag (which is ace I must say) and a card. We all went out for a few beers on Thursday night. I start my new job tomorrow and I'm straight in to a meeting at 9am, the joy! Seriously I can't wait to start it's going to be ace.

New job same venue? I remember you hinting at this on the phone, sounds very exciting. I want a photo of that burger.

Indeed it is the same venue and the very same job I mentioned.
Ahh someone took a decent picture of it. Biggest burger I've ever had the pleasure of anyway.

Congratulations on the new job. As for the shower, you can't beat good water pressure! THat's what always gets me when I've got to stay in a minging hotel. As long as the shower is clean and brutal, I can sleep with the rats (on top of the covers, of course!).
